Who is responsible

Chasse Patat is published by G.O.A.T. Comm.V., Tielenbaan 97, 2275 Lille, Belgium. G.O.A.T. Comm.V. is responsible for your data.

What we keep

• Your name and email address, and your password if you choose one (encrypted, readable by no one).
• Per league, your nickname and your teams, with the points they score.
• Your language, whether you want the daily email, and your choice about statistics.
• The emails we send you, so we can check that they arrived.

Why

• To make the game work: signing you in, saving your teams, calculating points and standings, and sending you the game's emails (sign-in link, welcome, deadline reminder, daily results).
• You can turn off the daily email in Account or with the link at the bottom of every email.
• We sell nothing, show no ads and never pass your data on to be sold.

Statistics (Mixpanel)

• Only if you allow it, we keep track of how the app is used: which screens you open and what you do, such as creating a league, inviting someone or saving your team.
• We use Mixpanel for this, with storage on their servers in the European Union. Mixpanel gets an internal number, never your name, email address or nickname, and does not work out your location from your IP address.
• You choose on your first visit. Declining changes nothing in the game. You can change your choice whenever you like, above or in Account. If you withdraw your consent, we send nothing more and delete Mixpanel's cookies in your browser.

Clicks in emails

The links in our emails carry a label with the kind of email (for example the daily results). Our email provider Resend counts how often a link is clicked. We do not track whether you open an email.

Cookies

• session: keeps you signed in, until you sign out or after 30 days.
• taal: the language you chose.
• theme: light or dark, if you chose one.
• analytics: your choice about statistics.
• mp_…: from Mixpanel, only if you allow statistics.
• The first four are needed for the app or remember a choice; Mixpanel's are only set with your consent.

Who processes your data

Supabase keeps the database, Vercel hosts the website, Resend sends the emails, and Mixpanel processes the statistics if you allow them. They only use your data to provide that service to us.

How long

As long as your account exists. If you delete your account (Account → Delete account), we erase your name, email address, password and the emails we sent you. Your teams are kept anonymously for the standings. At Mixpanel only the internal number remains, which then no longer points to anyone.

Your rights

• You may see your data, have it corrected or erased, and withdraw your consent for statistics at any time.
• If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
